SpendKit disclosures illustration

SpendKit is free and plans to stay that way. This page explains exactly how the site is funded and where the lines are drawn.

1. Advertising

Pages may carry contextual advertising (for example Google AdSense). Ad networks pick the ads by page topic; advertisers cannot influence tracker behavior, guide content, or editorial verdicts.

2. Paid templates and app referrals

The roadmap includes premium tracker templates (sold via Gumroad/Paddle) and referral links to budgeting apps in review pages. Where a link is a paid referral it is labeled; commissions never change an app review’s verdict — an app we criticize stays criticized regardless of its affiliate program.

The line that matters

Tracker behavior, category taxonomies, and guide conclusions are never for sale. We do not accept paid placements disguised as editorial content, and reader corrections outrank every revenue consideration — see the contact page for how to send one. If a future partner ever asks a guide to change its verdict, the partnership ends; that policy is the reason the testing and the reviews are trustworthy.

Launch-period note

As of launch, advertising may be limited while program applications are pending, and referral links appear only after the relevant program approval. App review verdicts are written before any affiliate application goes to the app maker. This page updates whenever the funding mix changes.

How you can verify us

Everything we claim about the tracker is checkable in one minute: open the page, disconnect from the network, and use the tracker — it works offline because your data genuinely never leaves. We think a privacy tool should be auditable by its users, not just described to them.
